About erik
Before striking out on his own, Erik spent 15 years honing his craft in the agency world — from boutique branding shops to global networks — creating norm-breaking work for niche to goliath brands from all walks of industry.
As creative strategist and conceptual writer, Erik is continually obsessed with language, human connection, and the dizzying evolution of advertising in the digital age — and how to keep the craft of creativity alive in the face of AI anonymity. He believes that, while how people consume branded content will continue to revolutionize in ways we can’t yet fathom, great creative work will always come down to a fundamental principle that’s as true today as it’s always been: A big idea that captures hearts and minds to kindle consumer action through the power of public affection.
Erik holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from St. Olaf College (Um Ya Ya). California-born, Minnesota-raised, he has called the Mile High City home since 2006. Off the clock, you’ll find him hiking, running, motorcycling, and exploring the great Colorado outdoors while seeking out the next great IPA.
